Operator Walk Arounds

Good morning. When I inspect equipment many times the fluid levels are extremely low. This is very hard for me to understand. This should be the operators job each day before operation of the machine.

Each year the head mechanic should give trainings to operators on checking each machine type each morning and how to report findings to them. This will save time and money

Further, reports on undercarriage condition and other variables like bushings and brakes condition should be done weekly, This program must be setup in a formal way as part of a job description. Management needs to follow up with site checks. The savings are worth it.
