Excavator Inspections

Good morning. I hope you had a great Christmas. There are some important things to look at when inspecting an excavator.

First ,review the frame and stick for cracks. Also the rest of the frame structure. Next check the engine for leaks and the color of the exhaust smoke. Further check for power.

Thirdly, check the hydraulic pumps for noise and chatter. Check them for power also.

Finally check for final drive leaks and noise. There are many smaller items to check also that we are not covering here.
